Top Australian property portal realestate.com.au has commenced legal action in the Federal Court against Real Estate 1 Ltd, owners of realestate1.com.au.

realestate1.com.au was established in November 2008 and began raising capital by listing on the Australian Small Scale Offering Board in December 2009. In July this year, the portal said it has 500 agent subscribers and was looking toward the launch of a national portal.

realestate.com.au brand and advertising manager Jenny Dickson provided this comment to propertyportalwatch.com:
